Privacy in plain English
Family stories stay family stories.
This notice explains what Sondeas Recipes collects, why it is needed, and the choices your family keeps.
Effective August 12, 2026
What we collect
We collect purchaser and contributor contact details, gift messages, voice recordings, transcripts, recipe answers, uploaded photographs, cookbook edits, payment references, and service-security records. Stripe receives payment details; Sondeas does not store full card numbers.
How we use it
We use this information to deliver invitations, transcribe and check recipes, ask clarification questions, prepare images and PDFs, provide support, prevent abuse, and operate the service. Family content is not a public profile or recipe marketplace.
AI processing
Voice transcription and recipe review run through a restricted Sondeas agent gateway. The recipe guide is instructed to preserve uncertainty and ask rather than invent. Family photographs and recipe details are not sent to an outside image provider unless that option names the provider and you explicitly choose it.
Who can see the book
The purchaser sees the cookbook workspace. Each contributor receives a separate private invitation. Private media is served only after account or invitation checks; raw storage addresses are not exposed.
Retention and deletion
We keep content while the cookbook is active and for limited backup, security, and recovery periods afterward. The owner can request deletion in Settings. We confirm the scope before permanently removing the cookbook, recordings, images, exports, and contributor access, except records that law requires us to retain.
Your choices
You may ask for access, correction, export, or deletion, and may revoke a contributor invitation. Contact [email protected]. We do not sell family recipe content.
